Dr. Bui General DentistGeneral Dentist – Dr. Quynh Bui was born in Vietnam and moved to Boston when she was a young teen. She graduated with honors from John D. O’Bryan High School. During her time there, Dr. Bui played on the school’s varsity soccer team. She also participated in the Vietnamese Student Association for several years. Outside of school, she was involved in tennis and swimming at a local sport club.

It was during high school that Dr. Bui became interested in the field of dentistry. She fell in love with teeth while undergoing braces treatment. Subsequently, she sought an internship in an orthodontist’s office.

Choosing to stay close to home here in Massachusetts, Dr. Bui chose Tufts University for her undergraduate studies.  Driven by her passion for dentistry, she started to work for the same orthodontist where she did her internship, who coincidentally was the orthodontist treating her. In 2004, she graduated with honors with a degree in Child Psychology.

Dr. Bui earned the moniker “Double Jumbo” for continuing her studies at Tufts University Dental School. She was awarded the Osher and Merritt scholarships. While in dental school, she worked as a dental intern at Dimock Community Health Services and Tufts Special Care Dental Community to provide care for geriatric and disabled patients. Prior to graduation Dr. Bui also worked at KoolSmiles so that she could further her skills providing dental care to children.

Dr. Bui received her Doctorate in 2009 and following graduation she joined Highland Dental Group. In addition to providing general dental services such as fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges and dentures, Dr. Bui treats patients for root canal therapy and is an Invisalign certified provider. She loves the friendly, caring atmosphere the office has, working with great colleagues to bring the best care to their patients. She follows Dr. Kelaher’s educational philosophy of communicating with her patients about important matters such as the prevention of non-optimum oral health and proper techniques for attaining and keeping good oral health. She looks forward to treating new patients as well as her current patients.

When she’s not at the office treating patients, Dr. Bui loves to travel. Her goal is to visit at least one country in each of the continents and so far has been to Germany, Italy, France, England, Hong Kong and Canada. She enjoys experiencing new cultures and tasting their cuisine. In addition, she loves shopping – so much so that she’s turned it into a new sport – and playing tennis. At home, she lives with her family and dotes on her nephew and niece.
