Dr. Soo-Woo KimPeriodontist – Dr. Soo-Woo Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside in 1999. He then pursued his Master of Science degree in Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. With the encouragement of his academic mentors, Dr. Kim decided to pursue a degree in Dentistry. Dr. Kim received his DMD degree in 2008 and is currently in his last year of training in a post doctoral program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine that leads to a masters degree in periodontology.  His primary focus of treatment includes both non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy including osseous surgery, crown lengthening, bone grafting, soft tissue surgery and implants.

With his backgrounds in biochemistry and engineering, Dr. Kim is actively engaged in research for the development of ideal hard and soft tissue grafting materials. He has multiple publications including peer reviewed journals and book chapters. He is also interested in dental outreach programs to the underserved populations and has been on multiple dental mission teams to Mexico, Nicaragua, Columbia and the Dominican Republic for the past three years.

Dr. Kim is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and American Academy of Periodontology. He currently lives in Quincy, Massachusetts with his wife Christine and daughter Chloe. He is actively engaged in church activities. His interests outside of the office include traveling, cooking, exploring restaurants, and fixing computers.
