- Invisalign is a process commonly referred to as “invisible braces”. It allows us, in relatively simple orthodontic cases, to improve smiles, correct overcrowding and close spaces between teeth for adults. Children who are still growing should, in our opinion, see an orthodontist.
- CEREC is an anagram which stands for “Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics”. It is a process that allows us to fabricate crowns, inlays, onlays and some veneers without having to send the case to a dental laboratory. It is a digital process that uses cad-cam technology right in our office and very often the restoration can be produced and inserted in the same day. There are many cosmetic materials available which come in a wide variety of tooth colored shades that allow us to closely match almost any tooth.
- Veneers are done primarily for cosmetic reasons. They replace just the front of the tooth so they are less invasive than crowns but they are also very delicate. The decision to use veneers should be considered very carefully.
- Tooth Whitening is commonly referred to as “bleaching”. It can be done in the office, or at home only, or as a combination of the two. The most complete results occur with the combination of office and home whitening.
