As we welcome November, we decided to put together a roundup of dental health blog posts that have gone live over the past few months. Here’s a quick recap of the most recent Highland Dental Group blog posts:
Fun Facts about Your Teeth: In this two-part series, we explore a variety of unique, intriguing and – dare we say – jaw-dropping fun facts about teeth! In part one, we take a look at 15 facts that range from baby teeth and tooth color to losing teeth across different cultures and the customs that go with this rite of passage. As you move onto part two, get ready to be exposed to more about the history of dentistry, why humans have two sets of teeth, animal teeth, and much more.
Back to School Dental Routine Info: Apparently we’ve been in the mood for a two-part series in the recent month – back to back posts about back to school dental health info coming at you! The first part of our series explores routine info for elementary school-aged and middle school kiddos. It covers everything from the importance of regular dental check-ups and how to establish a tooth brushing routine to healthy eating, hydration, caring for braces and more. In part two, we pick up with high school students and the unique challenges that teenagers may face; and then we close out with some dental health tips for those of you that fall into the higher education student bucket.
National Tooth Fairy Day: Yup, it happens twice per year so we celebrate both occasions! Find tips on how to prepare your child for losing a tooth, what to do when loose becomes lost, and how to celebrate but also set boundaries when it comes to doling out rewards. If your family celebrates National Tooth Fairy Day, we’d love to hear more about your traditions!
National Dental Hygiene Month: Learn more about when and why National Dental Hygiene Month was established as well as oral health tips for how to honor and celebrate the occasion.
Maintaining Oral Hygiene during Spooky Season: ‘Tis the season of candy and costumes… but mostly candy. Take a peek at this post for dental health tips about how to maintain your oral hygiene throughout the month of Halloween.
World Smile Day: Every October, we celebrate World Smile Day®. Learn more about the history of and mission behind this happy day in our post.
That sums up a quick recap on recent dental health blog content. Have something specific you’d like us to include in an upcoming blog post? We’d love to hear!
