Please Help Us Welcome Our New Periodontist: Dr. Charles Braga, DMD, MMSC
We’re super excited to welcome Dr. Charles Braga, DMD, MMSC to the HDG team! Why does he have the alphabet after his name? Dr. Braga is our new in-house periodontist and has worked hard to earn a series of impressive credentials… more about those below.
First, here’s a bit of background information about Dr. Braga: he grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts and now resides in Newmarket, New Hampshire. From a young age, he knew that he wanted a career in both science and patient care and came to realize that his childhood orthodontist, Dr. Morgenstern, was just the right role model. As a periodontist, Dr. Braga specializes in providing non-surgical and surgical therapies to save teeth and, if needed, replace them with dental implants.
A member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Braga is a fan of and an avid user of dental lasers. When he’s not treating patients locally in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, you can usually find him, at least monthly since 2004, teaching at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry located near Los Angeles in Cerritos, California; or speaking nationally on the topic of LANAP (The Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) or laser-mediated oral surgery.
Academic Credentials:
- Harvard School of Dental Medicine, M.M.Sc. (Master of Medical Sciences) and Certificate in Periodontology, Magna cum Laude 1996
